In episode 2 of the Nerd Fire podcast, Joe and Kevin asked how movie makers can get the "origin story" over with in movies such as Spider Man and Batman. May I offer "Gilligan's Island"? The TV studio insisted on an explanation about how the 7 castaways got on that island during every episode, so the series creator came up with a memorable way to do it: tell the origin story in the theme song! What a marvelous solution that remains on the brains of my generation to this day.
